It has been a very eventful ten months for me.

Kicked off last summer with a solo show at the Quest Gallery in the Midland Cultural Centre. My paintings hung for six weeks and many of them found happy homes.

July saw me teaching a 3-day plein air painting course in and around Tiny Township. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all participants — including the teacher. I’ll be doing it again this summer but this time it will be 5 days in August from the 11th to the 15th. I’ll be posting more on this in the next few weeks.

The fall saw me inspired by the wonderful wild skies of October. I painted 3 small studies (studio/studies) and used them as reference for large paintings (studio/landscapes). Here’s one of them:

Winter rolled in and once again I escaped to San Miguel de Allende in the heart of Mexico for two months of plein air painting focused on light, colour and shadow. You can see some of my work here . At the end of my stay I had a very impromptu showing with Virgel Delegard in a funky space above Via Organica.
